Pyramid Mouldings uses the Toyota Production System (TPS) to foster lean manufacturing at all plants. In addition, new programs are launched using Product Development Teams (PDT's).

TPS

TPS is a philosophy of continuous improvement focusing on the elimination of waste in the manufacturing process. Triggered by customer demand, materials are "pulled" through the plant. At each step, what must happen to meet the demand is analyzed and excess production, inventory, time, and manpower is driven out.

Pyramid has utilized TPS since 1994. A four year association with the Toyota Supplier Support Center started us on this path.

Using various techniques, TPS allows:
    - Levelized production flow
    - Small production runs
    - Elimination of waste
    - Improved quality
    - Lower inventory
    - Lower cost
    - Rapid response to change

PDT's

Product Development Teams are formalized as soon as your purchase order is received. Members of our engineering, sales, and manufacturing operations come together to manage the tooling design and production start-up of your parts. Your representatives are also welcome to be a part of the team. Frequent meetings provide updates against established GANTT charts and action items on all issues. The result is delivery of tools and initial parts on-time and on-budget.
